1. Ozone Generation: An ozonator uses high voltage (corona discharge) or UV light to split oxygen (O2cap O sub 2𝑂2) molecules, which then recombine into ozone (O3cap O sub 3𝑂3).
2. Ozone Introduction: The generated ozone gas is injected into the water through diffusers or venturi systems, mixing it thoroughly.
3. Contaminant Reaction: The highly reactive ozone oxidizes and breaks down organic pollutants, kills microorganisms, and oxidizes metals like iron and manganese.
