- The ACM Pure surface is guaranteed to be free of biological fouling and channeling.
Description
ACTIVATED CRYSTAL GLASS FILTER MEDIA
What is ACM Pure?
ACM Pure, often known as “Activated Glass Filter Media,” replaces ordinary sand media in all filtration applications. It’s manufactured from a special type of glass that’s been treated to get the best particle size and shape, then activated to increase surface area by 300 times over broken glass or sand. The huge surface area is negatively charged (zeta potential), which electrostatically attracts organic and small particles. ACM Pure is also self-sterilizing because of the presence of permanent metal oxide catalysts with a high redox potential. ACM Pure is a water filtering media created from recycled glass that may be used as a straight substitute for sand in sand filters. Bacteria colonize the sand in sewage treatment facilities, as well as drinking water and swimming pool filters, and after a few days, they produce a sticky alginate coating that prevents the filters from functioning properly. ACM Pure actively inhibits bacteria from growing, ensuring that the performance of the filtration systems is maintained. ACM Pure can almost eliminate pollution by improving the quality of sewage outflow by 90%. ACM Pure will enhance drinking water quality by eliminating 30% more junk from the water. As a consequence, the advantages to public health and aquatic environment are enormous.
ACM Pure for Waste Water Treatment
The bulk of contaminants entering the aquatic environment and chemicals entering the human food chain are caused by aquatic pollution, such as sewage effluent and industrial wastewater. Although sand filters may cleanse wastewater, they are rarely used because of the difficulties in keeping the sand running owing to the rapid development of bacteria in the nutrient-rich water. Despite the fact that ACM Pure actively fights germs, it is no longer an issue, allowing typical sand filters with Activated Glass Filtration medium to function in wastewater. ACM Pure reliably eliminates more than 90% of all contaminants from sewage effluent, including dangerous chemicals. Industry and water companies now have access to a simple, low-cost option for reducing the majority of our marine pollution. Is activated glass filtering medium preferable than sand filters? Sand filters occasionally reintroduce particles and bacteria that have been kept into the drinking water. Additionally, the bacteria induce channeling through the filter bed, allowing particles and cryptosporidium oocytes to reach the public water supply. To increase the efficiency of the sand, flocculants such as aluminum are employed to clean the water. The aluminum salts agglomerate the particles, causing them to become larger and easier to remove with the sand. However, owing to channeling caused by bacteria living in the sand, some of the aluminum will move through the sand and into the public water supply. Aluminum has been connected to the development of high blood pressure. Although chlorine is added to drinking water, it reacts with bacteria in sand filters and contaminants in the water to produce carcinogenic chemicals. It has been demonstrated that ACM Pure filters do not release trapped particles and germs into the water and gather at least 30% more garbage. When ACM Pure is used, fewer chlorine and coagulants are required, and the chemical content in the product water is reduced.
